In the next five years City of London Radiation Research Centre will continue to tackle the major challenges faced by radiobiology and radiation oncology by harnessing collective expertise from the research community and the network of organisations and institutions that contribute to it.
We will focus on the root causes of post radiotherapy relapse, addressing key questions in radiation biology and oncology required for more effective radiotherapy; We will harness our multi-disciplinary capabilities and partnerships with NHS Trusts, industry to catalyse and accelerate discoveries.
We will engage with our Patient and Public Involvement group to ensure our research is patient-centred , addresses real-world needs and facilitate translation of discoveries into clinical trials,
We aim to establish permanent positions and research groups in the field of radiation research and will increase investment in our world leading post-graduate program to train the next generation of leaders in radiation research.
